Doing well in a football tournament is normally a reason to scream for joy rather than in fear, but that's certainly not the case in Wieden+Kennedy São Paulo's continuation of Nike's SCARY GOOD campaign.
Released to mark Brazil’s place (and subsequent victory) in the 2025 Copa América Femenina final, The Legend of the Canarinha reframes the women’s national team as a horror story starring Kerolin, Angelina and Gio.
The Dirty Work‑produced pair of films (one released before victory, one after) uses stop‑motion‑inspired animation and 1990s aesthetics to bring the players’ fearsome reputations to life.

The pre‑ and post‑final spots celebrate not just Brazil’s latest triumph, but the team’s ongoing legacy as one of the most dominant forces in South American football; with both films positioning the players as not only champions, but the stuff of opponents’ nightmares.
“This film is an invitation for everyone to feel the power and legacy of our national team, recognising the talent that inspires a new generation of girls who love football,” said Gustavo Viana, Marketing Director at Fisia, Nike’s official distributor in Brazil.
