Since I was little, I have been told that one day someone would choose me.”

This film was born from that sentence, from a poem. In Marry Me in Bassiani, the performance by (LA)HORDE, bodies come together, collide, organise themselves, forming a force that escapes individual desire and the forms we are taught to desire, to recognise, to anticipate. Something has shifted.

What if we were not meant to be chosen, but had everything to gain from belonging to something that moves, something that refuses to stop, something that grows as it becomes multiple? What if desire could break free from the structures that shape it?

This film is an inner response to the work of (LA)HORDE, a way of following what it unsettles, what it opens up. A movement between stage and backstage, between the intensity of the collective and solitary drift, between what is visible and what is felt.
