Moxie Pictures signs Rebecca Miller for global representation.

The novelist/director/producer joins Moxie on the heels of her most recent project, Mr. Scorsese (2025) a five part series about the prolific filmmaker’s life and career. Mr. Scorsese premiered at the NYFF to critical acclaim and has become a global sensation. Miller conducted over twenty hours of interviews with the legendary filmmaker, and worked with 200 hours of footage to create the epic five part film portrait. The series was co-executive produced by Robert Fernandez in association with Moxie Pictures and released on Apple TV in October of 2025.

It took home two Critics Choice Awards for Best Biographical Documentary and Best Limited Documentary Series earlier this month.

Miller is an Emmy nominee and past winner of the Sundance Grand Jury Prize, Gotham Prize, and Independent Spirit Award. She has written and directed six feature films: Angela (1995), winner of the Sundance Film Festival Filmmakers Trophy and Cinematography Award; Personal Velocity (2002), starring Parker Posey, Kyra Sedgwick, and Fairuza Balk, winner of the Sundance Grand Jury Prize and Cinematography Award, as well as the Independent Spirit John Cassavetes Award; The Ballad Of Jack And Rose 2005), starring Daniel Day-Lewis and Camilla Belle; The Private Lives Of Pippa Lee (2009), starring Robin Wright; Maggie's Plan (2015), starring Greta Gerwig, Ethan Hawke, and Julianne Moore; Arthuer Miller: Writer (2017), an Emmy-nominated HBO documentary (Outstanding Documentary: Arts & Culture); and She Came To Me(2023), starring Peter Dinklage, Marisa Tomei, and Anne Hathaway. Several of her films are in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). 

Miller wrote the screenplay for the feature film Proof (2005), adapted from the acclaimed stage play. She is the author of two short story collections, Personal Velocity (2001) and Total (2022), and the novels The Private Lives Of Pippa Lee (2009) and Jacob's Folly (2013). She adapted both Personal Velocity and The Private Lives Of Pippa Lee for the screen.
