Director Tom O'Meara brings an enchanting world of anthropomorphised mice to life in this heartwarming film, produced by Passion Animation Studios with agency VML for telecommunications provider Movistar.
The spot opens in a homely burrow, where a mouse dad and his family struggle to keep up with their busy lives due to a poor internet connection, until one day, when they spot a Movistar engineer in the human household and seize the chance to steal a fibre optic cable.
To create the film, PASSION and O'Meara combined their knowledge of stop-motion craft and animated storytelling create a look that bears all the fuzzy hallmarks of a traditional stop-frame piece, with the flexibility and polish of CG animation. The CG animated characters feel right at home in the hand-built miniature sets thanks to the care and attention paid to every stage of production, combined with the tactile, crafted textures created specifically for them.
