If you have a condition like type 1 diabetes, it's not unusual to be asked a regular batch of questions on the subject: “is you insulin pen a vape?”, “what will happen if I inject myself?” and “does it mess with your sex life?”...
Helping to answer the queries in a comedic fashion, and marking Diabetes Awareness Month, LIAKH has created a triptych of films that present a long-suffering character (Black Mirror's Declan Mason) having to deal with unsolicited ignorance.
Effectively snappy snippets from upcoming short Vegetables Have Sugar, produced by Spindle in collaboration with Furlined, the funny observatons are perfectly punctuated by a rocking score and bold titles.
“If you, like me, are tired of answering the same particular set of questions over and over again," explains LIAKH, "feel free to send one of those films next time you are asked them. It’s also quite nice to take a film that will spend a certain amount of time on the festival circuit and utilise its parts for something useful and/or entertaining.
"Go easy on the mince pies this holiday season, will ya?”
