Global creative sound and music company Squeak E. Clean Studios announce the arrival of Jonti, an award-winning, multi-instrumentalist and producer as part of the composition team.

South African-born and Australian-raised, Jonti is known for his unique blend of psychedelic pop, lo-fi beats, and experimental soundscapes. He joins Squeak E. Clean’s in-house music composition team at the new Pyrmont-based studio.

With a career spanning over a decade, Jonti has fast become a cult favourite among music lovers. His upcoming album, The Moonblades, is set to be performed at The Sydney Opera House for Vivid Sydney on May 26th. The cinematic live performance is an audio-visual retelling of the album and will include an orchestra of synthesisers, guitars, percussion, guest vocalists and a multidimensional light show.

Jonti brings a colourful dimension to the Squeak E. Clean creative culture and brand identity. He is excited to introduce his unique brand of musical earworms to adland, lending his pop culture inspired aesthetic to breakthrough projects and campaigns.

He says: “I’m feeling incredibly grateful to find a home at Squeak E. Clean Studios, I’ve been a longtime fan of their work. The team is highly creative and fun, with great clients, so I’m looking forward to bringing my flair for pop music and collaborating in a new creative landscape.”

In addition to his solo work, Jonti has collaborated with a wide range of outstanding artists, including: Mark Ronson, Steve Lacy, The Avalanches, Sampa The Great, Badbadnotgood, Gotye, and Genesis Owusu, amongst others.

He has released three albums on the legendary Los Angeles label, Stones Throw Records and has performed at venues such as Radio City Hall, The Greek Theatre, Red Rocks, and the Sydney Opera House.

Squeak E. Clean Studios’ Executive Creative Producer Karla Henwood adds: “I’ve been following Jonti’s journey for some time now and on top of being such a unique and impressive talent, he’s also a super lovely human to work with. I’m really looking forward to introducing him to our industry friends and collaborators.”
