Rapper and member of boy band GOT7 Jackson Wang has unveiled this gruesome and captivating promo for his solo single Buck, directed by Nicholas Lam through Hound.
The film opens in a dimly lit dining room, where Wang vents his rage on an unsuspecting cephalopod, its black ink spewing across his pristine white suit - a visceral introduction that sets the tone for what follows.
Over the next three minutes, animalistic, high-intensity dance sequences are intercut with surreal imagery of Wang bathing in dripping black ink. Dynamic camera work tracks the dancers through shadowy sets, while macabre styling mirrors the track’s primal energy.
