God, it must be hard to be Swedish. Living in a society so safe, you have to manufacture danger by cold-plunging into frozen lakes. Enduring yet another four-week holiday because your government insists on work-life balance. Creating pop music so good, other nations pretend it’s theirs...
Playing with the clichés of Swedish living, Publicis London's new spot for Electrolux, Tough being Beautiful, manages to somehow make selling a cooking hob sexy.
Shot in the country by Scandinavian new-land director Tore Frandsen, the combination of ‘tough’, ‘cool’ ‘practical’ and ‘beautiful’ characters and charicatistics make for a funny and memorable film.
