ICRC brings Mexico’s missing into view

Archer Troy, the Mexican independent agency, has launched this impactful project in collaboration with the International Committee of the Red Cross, director Charly Gutierrez and production company Oriental Films.  

Titled The Disappeared, the film follows three parallel stories of victims of forced disappearances in Mexico. Through cinematic and emotive storytelling, the film captures the sense of panic and hopelessness when someone goes missing without a trace.  

With slogans such as “They disappeared once; don't let them disappear twice” and “We search for them because we love them,” the film raises awareness of one of the biggest social problems in Mexico. The investigation files, more than just documents, are central to the families' right to know the truth and the tool that compels the authorities not to stop the search.
