Nexus Studios announces the appointment of Hugh Ip as Executive Producer, strengthening its Location-Based Entertainment (LBE) and experiential capabilities across its London, LA and Sydney studios.

With more than 30 years of experience across agencies and creative studios, Ip has a proven track record delivering work for hyperscale venues, including Outernet London and the Wasl Dome in the United Arab Emirates, as well as installations across five Olympic Games and two World Expos.

Previously, Ip served as VP/Executive Producer at Jack Morton Worldwide, led experience divisions at The Mill and Seventeen Agency, and founded his own boutique content studio, One Small Pixel. During this time, he crafted experiences for the Winter Olympics Closing Ceremony, Dubai’s iconic Al Wasl Dome at Expo 2020, the world’s largest 360° projection surface, and London’s Outernet, one of the UK’s most ambitious immersive media destinations.

Ip joins Nexus Studios’ global team as the studio continues to expand its Location-Based Entertainment offering, building immersive experiences that move audiences and shape culture. The studio’s LBE work spans iconic venues and hyperscale formats, from stadiums and architectural projects to Shared Reality. Highlights include producing content for UFC’s Noche event at Sphere Las Vegas, a THEA Award-Winning experiential ride installation for Google, show content for Abba Voyage, experiences for Dubai Expo, Disney at Outernet London, Mercedes at Sphere, as well as art interactive art installations at the Barbican.

“Nexus Studios distinctive, storytelling-first approach comes through in every piece of work they create, and that’s what makes this next chapter especially exciting. There’s a real opportunity to bring storytelling into physical spaces in a way that feels expansive, emotional and deeply human.” said Ip.

“Hugh brings a rare mix of deep production experience and genuine creative instinct for physical experiences. He understands how to turn ambitious ideas into something real, operational, and world-class for audiences. Our partnerships and slate of projects in location-based and experiential projects is hugely exciting and Hugh is the kind of production leader you want at the table with you.” adds Chris O’Reilly, Co-Founder & CCO, Nexus Studios.
