DIY brand Hornbach kicks off the most important season of the year for the home improvement and gardening market with a new campaign which speaks to those whose biggest passion is finally getting started on their long-awaited spring projects.
Created by HeimatTBWA\Berlin this new two-minute film begins by showing a series of people seemingly in a state of hibernation; bored, listless and unfulfilled.
But their boredom is then punctuated by a familiar melody, one reminiscent of an ice-cream truck jingle, which pierces the air and sees these people surge out of their homes, away from the darkness and onto the sunlit streets, chasing the sound.
It's not an ice-cream truck they're chasing though, instead it's a dump truck, made to look like a giant toy, filled with tools and DIY equipment, and the ecstatic mob launch themselves onto it with glee.
Called Feel Like a Kid Again, and directed by Fredrik Bond through Tony Petersen Film and MJZ London, the spot urges adults to rediscover this child-like lightheartedness, ease and excitement.
