Directed by Molly Burdett though Spindle, this heartfelt sixty-second spot, titled The Gift, stars a couple in the departure lounge of Terminal 2, about to embark on an Xmas getaway.
As they peruse the airport's shops, it becomes apparent that the wife is sad about spending their first Christmas without their now grown-up kids.
To cheer her up, the husband suggests getting a bite to eat at restaurant, where he gives her the ultimate Christmas surprise. He tells her to close her eyes, and when she opens them, their son and daughter appear in front of her, joining them for the holidays.
The heartwarming reunion closes with the campaign’s tagline “This Christmas, depart as you mean to go on”, encompassing the special holiday feeling that starts at Heathrow Airport even before reaching your destination.
