As Salvador Dali proved with his iconic The Persistence of Memory (i.e. the one with the melting clocks), soft can be surreal.
With that in mind, it's almost too perfect that SKITTLES, the brand probably most associated with ad absurdity, should move into a squigier form of candy and promote it with some of its trademark absurdity.
Leaning into the gelatinous, TBWA\Chiat\Day's new campaign for the brand's gummies contains three delightfully odd squidgy scenes, from a jellyfish massage to an unsettling pouch.
Directed by Epoch's Carl Sundemo, these winningly short films use practical effects and smart reveals to let the gags land perfectly.
