Giant Spoon signed former Droga5 creative Haywood Watkins III as Executive Creative Director and Creative Director Gage Young, following a series of new business wins since the agency joined forces with Wpromote as Wpromote x Giant Spoon.

The two will report directly to Giant Spoon Chief Creative OfficerIan Grody, further bolstering creative strategy and execution for Giant Spoon's roster of clients, which includes: Autodesk, Lucid Motors, Ritual, and more.

“Haywood is a powerhouse. His ideas actually solve problems and his output comes to life across every conceivable and inconceivable medium. No one is better equipped to lead our creative campaign practice, and with him at the helm, our next chapter promises to be epic,” notes Grody. “Gage is the guy everyone wants on their business. Soul of an artist, work ethic of an athlete. And always, always, always behind his team.”

Watkins III has spent 15 years turning cultural insight into work that changes how people see something familiar. At VICE, he helped launch the world's first digital-only clothing collection, giving people a way to express themselves with zero environmental cost, with all proceeds going to WaterAid. At Droga5, he used voice-cloning technology to let an illiterate mother read her children a bedtime story in her own voice for the first time.

His work has been recognised by Cannes Lions, The Webby Awards, The Design Museum of London, and The Smithsonian. He is also active in teaching and mentorship, having founded ADCOLOR Futures and developed the 4A's annual internship program, Spring Training.

Young is a New York-based Creative Director, filmmaker, and photographer with two decades of experience shaping work across music, tech, and advertising, including work for Droga5 and Barton F. Graf 5000.

Off the clock, he's shooting skate films and staying immersed in music and culture, and that appetite for exercising his creative muscle outside the office shows up in every brief he touches, in a point of view that stays current, human, and a little unexpected. His work has earned recognition from Cannes Lions, The One Show, D&AD, The Effies, and The Clios, among others.
