The idea of taking your brain out might sound a little gruesome, but Great Outdoors Colorado turns it into something unexpectedly sweet in this beautifully crafted campaign.
Created by Sukle and brought to life by Anna Mantzaris through Passion Animation Studios, Take Your Brain Out follows a series of felt children as they whisk their brain buddies off on outdoor adventures, all set to a wholesome earworm of a soundtrack by Singing Serpent Music.
Inspired by research linking time spent outdoors with positive changes in children’s brain structure and development, the initiative encourages parents to see nature not just as beneficial, but as an essential part of supporting a child’s growth and wellbeing.
Anna Mantzaris, Director, Passion Pictures, added: It's not often you get to work with a subject that matters this much, and I loved that it was told in a clever and creative way. My favourite thing is when I get to tell an important message, but with some humour/glint in the eye.
Creating these little characters, both kids and brains, with their own little personalities, and to make them wild and free and playful, with plasters on their knees, messy hair and leaves on their clothes was so enjoyable in this otherwise so polished and curated world.”
