With more than half of NHS workers suffering from poor mental health and a staggering one in four considering suicide, the campaign created by adam&eveDDB's for Frontline19 shows the stark reality – that NHS staff are often suffering more than their patients.
Directed by Henry Hobson, through MJZ, the heartrending film, Sicker Than The Patients, shows CCTV-style footage of different NHS workers breaking down in moments when they believe they're alone and nobody can witness their distress. We see workers putting on a brave face and getting back to work as if nothing is wrong – an upsetting reality which emphasises how the need for support is more urgent than ever.
The film ends with an appeal to donate to Frontline19 so that the charity can provide the counselling and support NHS workers desperately need.
