There's a certain irony to a film made with GenAI whose central thesis is how artificial intelligence can screw up important tasks.
Created by director Nick Tasker through production company Slai, Jeff’s Downfall is a joyfully silly film that concerns a cocky CFO whose life spirals rapidly after an ill-fated brush with inferior AI.
Fully scripted and storyboarded before its scenes were generated using Seedance 2.0, OpenAI’s image model and Suno AI, the film combines an AI-led production process with more conventional human-led direction, editing, sound and grading.
Promoting FinanceOS, a financial planning and analysis service from Datarails, the impressively constructed piece contains moments of genuine hilarity, including a tarmac wrestle with a raccoon and a brilliant slapstick smash through a window.
