Final Cut continues to expand its roster of exceptional editorial talent with the addition of Conor O’Neill, further cementing its reputation as a home for creative excellence.

O’Neill brings a remarkable body of work spanning feature films, documentaries, and commercial campaigns.

He began his career in documentary filmmaking in the early 2000s. His first feature, Word Wars, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2004 and earned an Emmy nomination the following year. His next project, Henry Alex Rubin and Dana Adam Shapiro’s Murderball, also premiered at Sundance, where it won both the Audience Award for Best Documentary and a Special Jury Prize for Editing before going on to receive an Academy Award nomination for Best Documentary Feature.

O’Neill would go on to work on a string of notable projects including Michael Moore’s Capitalism: A Love Story, Chris Malloy’s 180° South, and also forged an ongoing creative partnership with director Brett Morgen on acclaimed music documentaries such as Crossfire Hurricane, Cobain: Montage of Heck, and Moonage Daydream, the latter celebrated globally for its bold and immersive visual language.

“Conor’s skill lies in his ability to elevate every frame with purpose and emotional depth,” says Suzy Ramirez, Managing Director/Executive Producer at Final Cut LA. “His editing has an undeniable pulse and his diverse body of work makes him a great fit for the Final Cut roster.

Transitioning into narrative filmmaking, he established a creative rapport with Bennett Miller, editing the critically acclaimed and award-winning films Moneyball and Foxcatcher. Most recently, he completed work on Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s upcoming feature starring Tom Cruise, set to premiere at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival.

In addition to his feature work, Conor has brought his editorial vision to the world of advertising, crafting dynamic commercial storytelling for major global brands including Apple, Audi, Samsung, Lexus, Adobe, American Express, and AT&T, among others. His advertising work has been recognised with numerous nominations and awards, including The Clios, Emmys, and Cannes, underscoring his versatility and skill with every project he touches.

"I’m super excited to be joining Final Cut, a company with a stellar reputation and a wealth of extremely talented people working on all types of long form and short form content. O’Neill  adds. “I look forward to what the future holds!"
