He said: "For Sweat, I wanted to capture the spirit of the golden era of pop music videos, drawing inspiration from Lady Gaga and Britney Spears. Shot on an old MiniDV camera for its distinctive visual texture, the video embraces theatrical, in-your-face choreography, bold styling and extravagant set design.
While the visual language leans into nostalgia, I wanted the editing to feel distinctly contemporary, using quick cuts, match cuts, and dynamic pacing to build momentum without relying on a traditional narrative.
Set design and styling have always been an important part of my creative process, so this was an opportunity to really push those elements, especially as their team was quite open to ideas. I loved the idea of bringing together exaggerated silhouettes and elaborate sets all within the otherwise unexpected, everyday location of a badminton court where I play regularly."

Yen added: "The music video shot on location in Stockholm, is an intimate yet electrifying visual experience. Set entirely indoors against stark, atmospheric backdrops, it places the spotlight squarely on my raw physicality and emotional intensity. Driven by fluid choreography, spontaneous improvisation, and uninhibited self-expression, every movement becomes a release - a visceral outpouring that mirrors the song's pulsating, dark energy.
From controlled, sharp dance sequences to instinctive, free-flowing motion, I bare myself completely, using my body as a storytelling instrument. Styled in sculptural, high-fashion looks that cut through the shadowy interiors, I command every frame with the presence of a seasoned performer, channelling Stockholm's reputation as a global fashion and design capital into every carefully crafted visual.
The visual direction for Sweat mirrors its sound: high-fashion and otherworldly, yet grounded. Elevated styling against a traditional badminton court brings that contrast to life. I paired polished visuals with improvisational choreography to capture raw vulnerability as the character emerges on camera.
Lady Gaga inspired both the song and its visuals - I wanted to channel that boldness, drama, and authenticity, the freedom of getting lost in the music. Sweat lives in that juxtaposition: raw and gritty, yet poised and intentional."
