Food ordering and delivery service DoorDash has teamed up with Hartbeat, the global comedy company founded by Kevin Hart, to create this playful short companion film to the recently released horror-comedy feature film Livestream from Hell.
Directed by Nate Edwards of Invisible Collective, the short takes a character introduced in the feature and builds an entirely new story around what was happening on the other side of the door.
Comedian and Saturday Night Live cast member Kam Patterson enters the story as Darryl the Dasher, whose deliveries of food, balloons, and a first aid kit pull him into the events unfolding inside.
With key moments designed to intersect directly with the events of the larger film, Dash of a Lifetime builds on a parallel narrative that follows the same night from the Dasher’s perspective.
