Brazilian directing duo MAGU (Marina Abranches and Gustavo Martins) has teamed up with London production company Misideal and ACNE Dublin on a new brand film for Cpl, turning the idea of adaptability into an enganging construction metamorphosis situation.
The film follows an unassuming office building in a slightly sketchy neighbourhood that decides it wants more, transforming as it travels through the city, discovering new forms and possibilities at every turn.
The concept is that every organisation has the version of itself the world sees today, and the one it has the potential to become.
The entire film was created using AI, with MAGU directing the building’s appearance, movement and character before generating and animating each scene in collaboration with ACNE and Cpl.
The directors commented: “The big challenge was understanding how to build all those transformations in a cinematic way, keeping the building always recognisable and, above all, making everything look physical and real, as if it had been filmed in front of a camera."
