What’s the best ad campaign you’ve seen recently?

The new Old Spice work. Amazing writing with spot on direction. An idiot flaunting bravado is one of my favorite things to watch.

What website(s) do you use most regularly and why?

Bleacher Report to follow my sports, The Onion (below) for something funny and CNN for a daily dose of all the things that are trying to kill me.

What’s the most recent piece of tech that you’ve bought and why?

Bose noise cancelling ear buds. My wife chews steak in bed with her mouth open.

Facebook, Instagram or Twitter?

Instagram, no contest.

What’s your favourite app on your phone and why?

The 'find my phone' app. I lose things and it gets really expensive.

What’s your favourite TV show and why?

Cops. It makes me feel better about myself.

What film do you think everyone should have seen?

Harold and Maude is a masterpiece.

Where were you when inspiration last struck?

Washing myself in the shower. I’m able to find laser-like focus while scrubbing.

What’s the most significant change you’ve witnessed in the industry since you started working in it?

The cameras and budgets keep getting smaller.

If there was one thing you could change about the advertising industry, what would it be?

Better writing and more time to execute.

What or who has most influenced your career and why?

Noam Murro. He’s a huggable genius who smells absolutely wonderful. Finding all of those traits in one place is a tough find.

Tell us one thing about yourself that most people won’t know…

I am a founding member of the Overbreeders in Advertising Society.
