Fishing, knitting and petanque aren’t generally thought of as mass crowd pleasers and you wouldn’t necessarily expect to see rabbles of adoring fans going wild for the games, but in a new campaign led by a series of public stunts Coke Zero asks why not?

As part of a Just Add Zero campaign stance that sees the brand adding naughts to normal situations in order to spice them up, agency Duval Guillaume had a field day in creating the drama.

The agency’s creative team got in touch with five people and asked if they could film them taking part in the hobbies of choice. What ensued was an unexpected series of chaotic scenarios that saw one scene boosted by six spectators; which then became 60, and eventually 600, turning the relaxed recreationalists into sporting superstars.

The supporting web film which captured the action was intended to showcase how adding zero gives you more – playing on the idea that Coke Zero gives you the same great taste of Coke taste, only with neither sugar nor calories. Sweet!
