Inspired by Renaissance paintings of Saint Sebastian, the concept centres on the mythological hero, defined by his fall and rise, revisited in Babyface Maniacs through Jonatan’s transformation symbolising the relentless drive to move forward despite adversity.

Directed by one of Yung Lean's longtime collaborators, Babyface Maniacs is a visually striking exploration of resilience and transformation. Inspired by Renaissance depictions of Saint Sebastian, the video places the artist in a surreal wasteland, his body pierced with arrows, yet steadily moving forward. Shot on location in a haunting Moldovan construction site and enhanced through practical effects and 3D modelling, the film blends mythology, sculpture, and sci-fi minimalism.

Echoing themes of the fallen hero, the piece portrays the internal and external battles of an artist who refuses to surrender. A deeply stylised palette, icy blues mirroring Yung Lean’s eyes, reinforces the dreamlike, melancholic atmosphere.
