This beautifully shot and reflective short, titled It’s Not For Meunfolds as an intimate creative collaboration between director Veronika Bolotina and 27-year-old Belarusian-Polish painter, Lera Dubitskaya, who is the subject of the film.

Shot on a sunny day in Warsaw, Poland, the 12-minute documentary pictures Dubitskaya between her golden light-dappled apartment and a botanical garden, where she muses on her creative practice, routines and how she finds inspiration in natural forms.

Through dreamy 16mm vignettes interwoven with glimpses of her fantastical paintings, Bolotina builds a rich, meditative portrait of Dubitskaya, capturing the self-doubt and perseverance of a young artist while quietly celebrating human creativity and the joy of analogue craft.
