Tom Geens is an award-winning director whose work spans commercials, short films and feature films.

Over the past two decades, he has developed a distinctive voice defined by cinematic precision, layered character work and a sharp sense of humour.

His commercial portfolio includes campaigns for IKEA, Sony PlayStation, BT, the BBC, Sainsbury’s and Kellogg’s, earning him multiple awards and recognition for his ability to craft stories that feel both authentic and unexpected. His work often blends emotional depth with a wry, observational wit, balancing truth and tone in a way that feels both cinematic and human.

Geens feature film Couple in a Hole premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, went on to win a Scottish BAFTA, and was named one of “The Guardian’s top 50 films of the year”. His earlier shorts also received widespread festival acclaim, further establishing his reputation as a filmmaker with a keen sense of visual storytelling and character nuance.

Whether in longform or in thirty seconds, Geens work combines emotional intelligence with visual invention, bringing surprising, human moments to life with impeccable timing and craft.

From Jodie Brooks EP: “We’re delighted to welcome Tom Geens to the RadicalMedia collaborators roster. With his sharp wit, inventive storytelling, and a knack for finding humour in the human experience, Tom brings a fresh and distinctive voice to our family of filmmakers.”

Geens adds: ’Excited to start working with the RadicalMedia crew, their enthusiasm is inspiring. Ads can be wonderfully titillating things, unexpected bursts of laughter! To make people watch TV (or any other screens) for the ads rather than the program, that’s the ambition!'
