Directed by Luke Brookner through Sticker Studios in collaboration with VML UK and EP Will Castle, this almost unbearable moving campaign for Suicide&Co explores how those who have lost loved ones to suicide can sometimes carry a kind of inherited trauma.
With great impact but also a subtle sensitivity, the film follows a young man’s troubled journey into adulthood and depicts how grief can be triggered by moments in time like parenthood or shared activities, such as football.
Heirlooms was developed as a reflection of Will’s own experience, following his father’s suicide, and aims to raise awareness of the dangerous cycle of grief and mental health struggles that survivors face, often in silence.
