Abject unhappiness isn't exactly the emotion all brands want to elicit when creating a spot for their latest and greatest, but SKODA's comedic spot Si j'avais su (If I had known) bucks the trend in hilarious fashion.
Focussing on a miserable fella as he clocks the car of his dreams scoot past him, the ad not only ignores rules about feelings, but is also bold enough to not even show the car it's advertising.
A clever idea from Rosa Paris, brought to chucklesome life by our hapless performer and Giles Ripley's OTT direction, makes for a memorable execution.
