A new Los Angeles base has been opened by creative studio Significant Others, with Creative Director Thomas “Thom” Reimerink heading up the office.

The Santa Monica studio launched with Spike Jonze’s video for Coldplay’s All My Love, taken from the band’s tenth studio album Moon Music, where Reimerink served as VFX lead. It was quickly followed by a major campaign for Expedia, demonstrating the new office’s scale and creative range.

The decision to establish a West Coast presence reflects growing demand for the company’s services in Los Angeles. Operating within Final Cut’s Santa Monica offices, the setup is designed to integrate closely with editorial and provide a seamless post-production experience.

Reimerink previously co-founded Little Farm Productions, leading VFX and finishing on campaigns for Nike, Google, Mazda, Burger King, Honda and YouTube. He is joined by VFX Supervisor and Flame Artist Phil Apostol, who has worked on projects for Coca-Cola, Pringles, Starbucks and Meta, alongside collaborations with musicians such as Demi Lovato, Justin Bieber and Dave Grohl. Apostol came to Significant Others in 2022 from Therapy Studios.

The LA office also continues Significant Others’ partnership with Copenhagen-based Bacon X, incorporating colour grading and CG services to strengthen its global offering.

“Final Cut already has such a strong reputation on the West Coast,” said Suzy Ramirez, managing director at Final Cut LA. “Being able to welcome our West Coast clients in person at Significant Others LA, and to bring Thom Reimerink’s incredible technical expertise into each project, has truly elevated what we can offer. Thom is a remarkable talent—his presence has taken our capabilities to a whole new level, and we couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead.”
