It’s estimated that in England 84,240 homeless families will wake up on Christmas Day in insecure, unhealthy temporary accommodation.

This campaign, the fifth created by agency Don’t Panic for Shelter, was helmed by Partizan’s Michael Gracey (The Greatest Showman, Better Man) and cleverly brings together the anxiety that homelessness produces and the bravery of a young boy with a song in his heart.

Unable to forget the maddening earworm that's been tormenting his mother as she seeks help, the boy makes like Billy Elliot and “turn(s) around” the tune –Bonnie Tyler’s classic 80s banger Total Eclipse of the Heart – into a gleeful song and dance number, showcasing Gracey’s signature skill with heartwarming musical interludes.

Look out for an upcoming craft feature on the making of this spot.
