Shape your own Minecraft world in latest spot

To celebrate International Friendship Day, Minecraft teamed up with Boo Agency and BIG Productions to create Shape Your World: A Minecraft Story, a playful, handcrafted short film directed by Dan French.

Shot over two intense days, the film recreates the essence of Minecraft, imagination, collaboration, and creativity without limits. Combining hand-built physical sets, puppetry (including a custom-made Ghast puppet), and practical VFX, the team brought the Minecraft universe into the real world.

“This film is a love letter to creativity and connection, just like Minecraft itself. We wanted it to feel tangible, playful, and full of life.” said French.

The result is a fast-paced, feel-good film that celebrates the power of friendship and the joy of shaping your own world, together.
