Director Sav said: “With a background in psychotherapy studies, community work, and personal experience with mental health challenges, I’ve developed a filmmaking approach that prioritises care, respect, and deep listening. These values shape how I work".

"That foundation, along with mentorship experience and working across documentary and community arts, has informed the way I build trust with participants and navigate difficult material. That sensitivity was vital on Save Our Sons".

"I’m drawn to stories that require emotional nuance, and I try to approach them with honesty, restraint, and a strong visual language that supports, rather than overwhelms, the subject. Save Our Sons was a deeply emotional project, and I felt incredibly supported throughout. I couldn’t have asked for a better team".

Elie Eid adds: “The film hit the mark with regards to a shock element, from a fictional awareness film, to lived documentary. I would like to thank everybody at FINCH for their time, patience and support”.
