Kühl is a Berlin-based director working across both fiction and commercial formats. Kühl’s work is defined by a sharp sense of storytelling,striking visual composition, emotional authenticity, and a deep focus on human connection, always grounded in big resonant ideas.
His breakthrough short film Highlife earned him seven Clio Awards, including Gold for Directing, and was recognised with a Vimeo Staff Pick. The film also received multiple honours at the 2024 ADC Festivals, along with both Gold and Silver at the 1.4 Awards in London.
Building on that momentum, his UNHCR spot Through My Eyes garnered similar recognition, winning Gold at the 1.4 Awards and securing three Golds and a Silver at the 2025 Young Director Award in Cannes. Thatsame year, he was named Best New Director at the AICP Awards in New York.
Kühl continues to push creative boundaries with a clear directorial voice and a commitment to storytelling that resonates.
