REVERSE signs director Elisa Baudoin
With a background in theatre, fashion, and photography, Baudoin has quickly become a sought-after director for both musical artists and brands.
Commercial production company REVERSE has signed Elisa Baudoin for exclusive US representation.
Known for her vibrant surrealist style and striking visual compositions, the French director is celebrated for her ability to craft immersive, dreamlike worlds that blend pop aesthetics, fine art, and experimental cinema. With a background in theatre, fashion, and photography, Baudoin has quickly become a sought-after director for both musical artists and brands. Recent projects include campaigns and music videos for Westfield, Numéro, Vice x Nike, Bon Entendeur, Vianney, and Mika.
“I’ve been a fan of Elisa’s work for some time,” says Thibaut Estellon, Founder and Executive Producer at REVERSE. “I’ve always loved how she blends French New Wave and avant-garde cinema with modern pop culture elements. Her style is uniquely elegant yet playful. It’s naturally cool and exciting.”
Baudoin’s journey as a director began with a strong foundation in the arts, including theatre studies and photography, leading her to develop a distinctive visual style. Influenced by legendary filmmakers like Alfred Hitchcock, Kenneth Anger, Luis Buñuel, and Jean Cocteau, she likes to play with the lines between reality and the surreal. Her trademark style features singular characters, strong art direction, tableau-like vignettes, mixed-media visuals, and practical lo-fi special effects. These elements are omnipresent in her music videos for Bon Entendeur and her spot for Westfield.
“Collaborating with REVERSE is an exciting opportunity,” says Baudoin. “They understand the artistry and ambition behind my work, and I’m looking forward to the creative possibilities we can explore together. REVERSE’s commitment to innovative and bold filmmaking is exactly what I need as I take my work to the next level.”
“We’re thrilled to represent Elisa in the U.S. market,” adds Estellon. “Her work is unlike anything else. She has an uncanny ability to take ordinary moments and transform them into visual masterpieces, and we can’t wait to see what she brings to future projects.”
After releasing new campaigns for Numéro Netherlands and cult French fragrance brand Juliette Has a Gun, the Paris-based director is developing new work that delves deeper into the intersections of fashion, music, and experimental cinema.
“My creative process begins with a deep exploration of the visual and narrative language I want to create,” concludes Baudoin. “At the heart of my work is an ongoing desire to experiment and challenge the viewer’s perception of the world.”
