RadicalMedia signs Director Kyle Thrash
The Emmy-nominated filmmaker joins RadicalMedia for US commercial representation, bringing a deeply human and immersive visual style to commercial and branded content.
RadicalMedia has announced the signing of director Kyle Thrash for US commercial representation.
Known for his emotionally resonant, character-driven storytelling, Thrash’s addition strengthens the company’s commitment to bold, authentic filmmaking across the commercial space.
Raised outside Philadelphia by a social worker, Thrash’s work consistently explores the intricacies of human connection and community. Whether through heartfelt documentaries or visually compelling commercial narratives, he has carved out a space for deeply affecting stories grounded in realism.
Thrash’s recent project, The Turnaround created in partnership with Dick’s Sporting Goods, premiered at the 2024 Telluride Film Festival and was subsequently acquired by Netflix. The film tells the uplifting story of Jon McCann, a middle-aged man living with bipolar disorder who helps Philadelphia Phillies star Trea Turner through a slump, offering empathy over criticism. The film earned two Critics Choice nominations and three Sports Emmy nominations.
His short film The Sentence of Michael Thompson, produced in collaboration with Cresco Labs, earned an Emmy nomination and dominated the festival circuit, winning more audience awards than any other short in 2024.
Thrash has also completed his first project under the RadicalMedia banner: a global campaign for WhatsApp and Modern Arts, centred on Formula 1, slated for release in May.
Commercially, Thrash has directed campaigns for the NFL, Cannondale, LinkedIn, and VRBO, consistently delivering compelling and cinematic work that focuses on sports, real people, and emotional truths.
