Toyota’s new spot has drivers hooked... literally
Peter Lydon directs Counselling, a witty take on the dangers of loving car servicing a little too much.
Toyota has dropped a cheeky new ad via Twice Pictures, and it’s not your typical glossy car commercial.
Directed by Peter Lydon, Counselling leans into a clever comedic premise: what if Toyota’s servicing was so good… You got addicted to it?
Set in a classic group therapy circle, the spot follows a man sheepishly admitting he’s been inventing problems with his car, just so he can keep coming back to the dealership. Around him, a room full of equally hooked drivers nods along in understanding. From fake dashboard warning lights to dramatic tyre pressure concerns, no excuse is too far-fetched when you’re craving that sweet, sweet Toyota aftercare.
