Director and writer Lochlainn “Locky” McKenna has joined RadicalMedia’s Collaborators roster.

McKenna’s work focuses on human-centred stories, with commercial credits including Vodafone, Tesco, Specsavers, Guinness and Toyota. Earlier this year, he won the Most Promising Commercial Director Award at the Creative Circle Awards.

“I’m really looking forward to working with Radical,” said McKenna. “They bring a wealth of experience and maturity to their work, which is exactly what I’ve been looking for. We’re all genuinely buzzing to be working together, there’s something exhilarating about everyone pulling in the same direction.”

Recent projects include A Stranger’s Tale, a Vodafone Ireland campaign created with Grey, which launched as a Spotify audio series exploring positive connection through storytelling. McKenna spent four months meeting strangers on public transport and writing short stories based on their encounters.

His short film Two For The Road, inspired by weekends travelling across Ireland with his father, was long-listed for an Academy Award in 2024.
