What song or album have you been listening to lately while working from home?

Jeff Rosenstock’s latest album, No Dream; it perfectly captures the unrelenting angst that is the last four years, and particularly 2020. His lyrics are such a great combination of inspired activism coupled with self-deprecating bitterness. It’s the soundtrack I needed to process the existential dread all around us, while simultaneously finding ways to be hopeful and remain motivated.

What track always gets you on the dance floor?

Carly Rae Jepsen, Cut To The Feeling. For those who stopped listening to Carly after Call Me Maybe [below], you’ve been missing out on some of the best pop music. Not only is each album wonderfully catchy and memorable, but her lyrical depth leaves the audience feeling connected with her in a personal and relatable way.  A Carly Rae dance floor is just the best place to be.

What's your 'guilty pleasure' track?

Nothing guilty about liking music! I try to unabashedly embrace all the music that I connect with.

What song always makes you turn off the stereo when it comes on?

Rarely do I immediately turn off the stereo just because a specific song is playing. There’s a time and place for all music and I try not to be dismissive. However, growing up in Southern California, and in a college town, I’m pretty burnt out on Sublime. So anytime I hear Santeria or What I Got start to play I’m pretty curious to see what else is available.
