What's the funniest advertising idea you've seen recently?

How recent is recently? Because this one - Jeff Low's Tena Men The Odyssey - is five years old, but it's still one of my all-time favourites.

TENA – TENA Men: Keep Control

What website(s) do you use most regularly?

Google, because it's like going on a virtual treasure hunt.

What’s the most recent piece of tech that you’ve bought?

I recently splurged on a vintage digicam, the Kodak Digital Science DC50 Zoom Digital Camera from 1996.

What product could you not live without?

My robotic lawn mower.

What’s the best comedy film you’ve seen over the last year?

Black Mirror's Demon 79. Okay, it's technically not a film, but this episode had me in stitches. It brilliantly combines dark humour with a twisted futuristic concept. It's like a rollercoaster ride through the darkest corners of comedy.

What comedy do you think everyone should have seen?

Tim & Eric - Awesome show, Great job! Why? Because it's the epitome of hilarious absurdity. It's a show that throws logic out the window and embraces its own silliness. It's like watching a fever dream of comedy sketches that defy all expectations.

What’s your preferred social media platform?

I'm currently in the midst of an Instagram detox (not going great, by the way), so I guess that's my main social media platform. Why Instagram? It's like the phonebook of social media. Even my aunts have it, and that says something.

What’s your favourite TV comedy show?

If I had to pick just one show, it would have to be The Office (UK Version). The cringe-worthy and painfully comedic situations that unfold in every episode are a masterpiece. It's like watching a train wreck of awkwardness that you just can't look away from.

What’s your favourite podcast?

Top 4:

1. Alex & Sigge (In Swedish)

2. Smartless

3. Revisionist History

4. You Made It Weird with Pete Holmes

What show/exhibition has most inspired you recently?

I saw Alex Da Corte's exhibition, at the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Denmark, a few months ago and it was stunning and visually inspiring. However, I'm usually more inspired by the mundanity of life itself. Just a few weeks ago, a guy went berserk at the flight staff in front of me and my family because he missed his flight. It was a chaotic and absurd scene, but it reminded me of the beauty in raw human behaviour. That's what I find most inspiring above all: life itself is a comedy, when viewed from the right angle.

What’s the most significant change you’ve witnessed in the industry since you started working in it?

The collective thinking behind an idea has become more obvious. We're all inspired by the same feeds, so it's hard to come up with ideas that feel completely fresh. It's like we're trapped in an echo chamber of creativity, but I guess that’s just a sign of the times.

If there was one thing you could change about the advertising industry, what would it be?

The pitch and ideation process. Wouldn't it be interesting to invite a bunch of actors into the room with the creatives and just riff? To try stuff out? Let's make the ideation process more transparent and actually find the comedy while improvising. Who knows, we might stumble upon genius ideas in the most unexpected moments.

Who or what has most influenced your career?

It's a bit all over the place, but I always keep coming back to the simplicity of Roy Andersson. The way he frames his worlds and captures the comedy in everyday life is truly inspiring. And, of course, there are my advertising director heroes like Tom Kuntz, Jeff Low, and Harold Einstein. They have shown me the power of storytelling and injecting humour into the most mundane products. And let's not forget Monty Python [above]. Their absurdity and irreverent humour have always been a guiding light for me.

Why did the chicken cross the road?

Great question, looking forward to the reveal.

Tell us one thing about yourself that most people won’t know.

I love gardening.
