McCann names Britt Nolan CEO, McCann New York
The celebrated creative leader steps into top executive role, putting creative at the centre of McCann New York leadership.
McCann announced that Britt Nolan has been elevated to CEO of McCann New York, effective immediately.
Nolan, who joined McCann in January 2025 as Chief Creative Officer, North America, will lead the overall business strategy and operations for McCann’s largest market, with oversight of all US clients. Nolan will report to Andrés Ordóñez, Global Chairman and Global Chief Creative Officer.
Nolan’s appointment puts a creative leader at the helm of one of McCann’s most important offices, doubling down on what the network does best: driving growth for the world’s biggest brands through breakthrough creativity.
Under Nolan's creative leadership, McCann New York has achieved significant business growth and momentum, including being named creative Agency of Record for Kroger, expanding its relationship with longtime client Reckitt, adding brands Easy-Off, Woolite, Resolve, and Rid-X, and delivering effective, highly awarded work for Mastercard, Huggies, Prudential and the New York Lottery.
McCann has had a standout year for both creativity and effectiveness. At the 2026 Effies, McCann was named the #1 U.S. Agency Network and McCann New York the #2 U.S. Agency Office. McCann New York has won more than 100 awards so far this year, including the inaugural Creative Brand Lion at Cannes for its work with longtime partner, Mastercard.
“I’m honoured to take on this role at an agency I’ve come to love, where our focus is always on delivering impactful work and meaningful client partnership through the power of Truth Well Told,” said Nolan. “Creative excellence is what clients come to McCann for, and putting it at the centre of how we lead is how we keep building work that people notice, talk about and remember. I’m grateful to the team for the trust and can’t wait to keep building greatness, together.”
“Over the past year, I’ve had the privilege of partnering closely with Britt, and I’ve seen firsthand what an extraordinary leader, creative mind, and human being he is. He understands our clients, our people, and our culture, and has been instrumental in building the momentum we’re seeing in New York,” said Ordóñez. “At McCann, we believe creativity creates demand, and demand creates growth. Britt knows how to bring that belief to life through work that moves culture and drives business. I couldn’t be more excited to see where he and his incredible leadership team take McCann New York next.”
Nolan will work closely with McCann New York's leadership team, including Chief Strategy Officer, Shobha Sairam and Chief Operating Officer, Brandon Kaplan as they continue building on the agency's creative and business momentum, supported by McCann's global leadership.
Nolan was recently named to Campaign’s 40 Over 40 list, honouring established leaders who have made strong contributions across the advertising industry while creating a path for nextgen leaders. Before McCann, he was President/CCO of Leo Burnett, where his track record includes some of advertising's most culturally enduring and effective campaigns like Allstate's Mayhem and Creative Effectiveness Grand Prix winner, Van Gogh BnB, for the Art Institute of Chicago.
