Packer Productions announce that award-winning director Mary-Sue Masson has joined its roster for commercial representation.

Masson is renowned for her instinctive performance direction and sharp comedic sensibility, crafting work that feels spontaneous, human and tonally precise. Blending scripted narrative with improv-led authenticity, she has built a reputation for delivering comedy that is both disarmingly natural and strategically sharp.

Her recent work for Tony’s Chocolonely underlines her ability to balance brand voice with genuine performance-led humour , that continues to attract leading agencies in both the UK and US.

Trained in Performance Direction at Elstree Studios, Masson has worked with broadcasters including the BBC and Comedy Central, and across a wide spectrum of commercial and narrative projects. Her award-winning short Who's The Daddy is currently streaming on Disney+, further demonstrating her range beyond pure comedy into nuanced, character-led storytelling.

Richard Packer, Founder and Executive Producer of Packer Productions, said: “Mary-Sue makes performance look effortless, which, of course, means it’s anything but. She’s brilliantly funny, instinctive with actors, I’m thrilled to have her join Packer Productions.”

Masson added: "Joining Packer Productions felt like the perfect fit, and I’m chuffed to be part of such a corker of a comedy roster. Richard Packer has a reputation that precedes him, not just for the work, but for the way he works, he’s respected, he’s trusted, (and judging by the reactions I’ve had, clearly well loved)

From the minute he started shaping my reel, everything just clicked. Packer Productions have only recently set off, but it’s already doing brilliantly. I’m excited to be part of that journey… on that iconic green truck!"

Masson’s signing further strengthens Packer Productions’ growing reputation as a boutique, creatively driven production company championing distinctive voices across comedy, performance and cinematic storytelling.
