Directed by Jake Zalutsky of Picture North, this touching campaign for rice brand Mahatma is a colourful and diverse ode to sharing homemade meals.
Titled Savor The Little Things and created by agency JT Mega, the spot celebrates the small rituals of home cooking and the joy of sharing food with the people you love, while representing the many variations of what ‘family’ can look like through realistic and intimate vignettes.
“The underlying message of this spot is more important than ever,” remarks Zalutsky. “We live in an increasingly distracted world. Everywhere we look, something is asking for our attention, and we are pulled in more directions than ever before. What gets lost in that push and pull are the moments our lives are actually made of. If we miss them, we miss everything.
In Savor The Little Things, Mahatma is the catalyst for these moments – an essential part of our diets that deserves our attention. A time to stop, slow down, and find ourselves back in our own lives, present and connected, nowhere else but right here.”
