Lip reading with Teddy Fontana
The Californian singer’s track Fall Asleep gets a charming animated video that brings a little lightness to a sad, sleepy song.

Directed by Madeleine Woolner and produced by Collaboration Pictures, this lovely animated/live action film uses all the simple pleasures of stop-motion animation to tell a tearful tale of love trouble.
Usually inanimate objects rejoice in being released from their static state: drawings of singing lips float about a sunny house, articulating Fontana’s velvety vocals; balls of paper and felt roundels swirl about in patterns; vases of flowers rotate and dance together – all of which counteracts the melancholic lethargy of the rather despairing lyrics.
The track is taken from Fontana’s album Girl, Interrupted.
