Kode signs director Jodeb
Director Jonathan Desbiens, known professionally as Jodeb, joins Kode for exclusive representation in the UK.
Kode has announced the exclusive UK signing of Jodeb, the director, writer, and editor known for his visually ambitious and emotionally resonant storytelling.
“It's an exciting new chapter for Jodeb, and we’re pleased to welcome him to the Kode roster,” says Jack Goodwin, executive producer and founder at Kode. “Jodeb is a punk at heart, whose vision has found expression in campaigns for brands such as Adidas and Fortnite. His storytelling stands out in music videos for artists like Jack White and Skrillex, and his background in post-production brings a refined, effects-driven quality to his work. We’re looking forward to seeing what we can build together in the UK.”
Working under his professional moniker, Jodeb (real name Jonathan Desbiens) has developed a distinctive style that blends heightened fiction with grounded realism. His international portfolio includes music videos for The Weeknd, London Grammar, A$AP Rocky, Deftones, Cypress Hill, and others, with work recognised by the MTV VMAs, UKMVAs, and D&AD, and multiple Vimeo Staff Picks.
Jodeb has also directed commercial campaigns for brands such as Yves Saint Laurent, Under Armour, Samsung, and Adidas, and was nominated at the Young Directors Awards during the Cannes Lions Festival.
His 2020 short film A Plentiful Feast, created in collaboration with Nowness for Earth Day, reflects a personal interest in ecological themes. The film explores the story of a young spear-fisher navigating an ocean affected by climate change, bringing attention to environmental decline through a narrative lens.
Known for his attention to detail and cross-disciplinary skillset, Jodeb’s approach combines visual effects, storytelling, and a strong editorial eye. His addition to Kode's roster reinforces the company’s continued investment in narrative-led and creatively ambitious work.
