Innocean and Hyundai introduce Pitch of Passion
Pitch of Passion, is a project that turns grassroots football into a stadium experience.
With Pitch of Passion, Hyundai brings its brand promise to life through a real human experience and Innocean Europe turns it into an activation that makes a global message tangible at a local level.
For Gloria Studio the project marks its first large-scale in-house production, proving that Innocean can deliver concept, production and execution end to end.
A TV commercial and a documentary film capture the moment and extend the story beyond the event itself.
Showing a group of young footballers what the future feels like, in a sudden and unexpected way, was the core idea of Pitch of Passion, a joint activation by Hyundai, official FIFA World Cup Partner, Innocean Europe, and their in-house production unit Gloria Studio.
Rooted in the FIFA claim 'Next Starts Now,' the activation gave Hyundai's brand promise 'Power your world' a human face, transforming a proposition into a moment of raw emotion and an experience people could truly engage with.

During a regular district cup final, two youth teams became part of a top-secret and carefully orchestrated plan. While the first half ran under normal conditions including rather empty stands and only a small number of fans, the halftime brought a surprise: an encounter with World Cup winner Mario Götze, who delivered an emotional motivational speech in the locker room. When the teams returned for the second half, everything had changed and reality had completely transformed. An ordinary youth pitch had become a full stadium backdrop, with packed stands, hundreds of fans, drummers, and the atmosphere of a big match-day. In a single moment, an everyday game turned into something greater: a future that suddenly seemed within reach.
"With Pitch of Passion, we wanted to show that big dreams start small, and what it feels like when the future suddenly becomes real," explains Jens Eberth, Director Marketing, Hyundai Motor Deutschland GmbH.
Alessia Bellini, General Manager of Innocean Europe, adds: "Pitch of Passion is proof of what becomes possible when brand promises don't merely remain on the surface, but can be experienced by the audience in real life. Activations like this are enormously impactful at a market level, because real emotion makes global brand messages come alive tangibly and immediately." To preserve authenticity, the team deliberately chose a documentary approach.
Director Matthias Freier captured the story alongside Gloria Studio, which handled production and execution. "Pitch of Passion is the most ambitious project we have produced under the Gloria Studio label. With a 43-person-team, nine camera angles and over 1,200 extras, we have demonstrated that first-class production can also be achieved entirely in-house" says Norman Henkel, Head of Gloria Studio. The result is a film that does not merely document, but, through its social-first extension, proves that the strongest brand experiences live on where people truly are today: in their feeds.
