Havas POP appoints Kate Johnson as EVP UK
Havas’ AI-powered global content at-scale network has appointed Johnson to lead the UK business, continuing the expansion of its global footprint and evolving its craft at scale offering.
Havas’ AI-powered global content at-scale network Prose on Pixels (POP) has appointed Kate Johnson as Executive Vice President, UK, to lead the UK business, continuing the expansion of its global footprint and evolving its craft at scale offering.
Having played a pivotal role in POP UK’s growth over the past two years, in this new role, Johnson will lead the UK market while continuing to strengthen the pipeline to its borderless studio nearshore and offshore network.
With over two decades of experience building and leading high-performing creative and production organisations, Johnson's background brings deep expertise and proven leadership gained at companies like Oliver and Chelsea Football Club. Throughout her career, she has been recognised for creating environments where teams can thrive while delivering outstanding results for clients.
As EVP UK, Johnson will oversee the continued development of the UK business, working closely with regional and global studio leaders to drive collaboration across POP's borderless network. She will also play a key role in advancing the studios vision of helping brands create, scale, and optimise content through a combination of audience driven expertise, creative excellence, and ground-breaking technology.
"What makes POP unique is our genuine ambition to redefine how content is created and delivered", said Johnson. "Over the past two years, I've had the opportunity to work alongside incredible clients and our own teams across the network, helping push this ambition while building a model designed for the realities of modern marketing. As UK lead, I'm excited to support our people, our clients, and our agency partners as we shape our next chapter together".
In further news, POP UK is also extending its strategic capabilities, with Marta Seruya, Global Strategy Director, joining the UK management team alongside Johnson. This move acknowledges the key role strategy plays in POP's business and reinforces the network's commitment to placing audience understanding, content intelligence and strategic thinking at the centre of its craft at scale model.
Working closely with all studio teams, Seruya will help ensure POP’s Audience-First strategy continues to be a key differentiator for clients navigating increasingly complex content ecosystems, enabling more effective solutions and business outcomes. Both moves also enable existing CEO UK & Global President, Paul Ward, to fully transition to his role as Global President, focusing on overseeing POP's 15 studios and its global growth plans.
"Kate and Marta combined are a force of nature. I will forever count my lucky stars that I am sitting on their side of the table, not the other, wondering how on earth I am going to compete with their energy, verve and ferocious talent. Putting Kate in charge and acknowledging Marta’s impact on our UK business were probably the easiest two decisions of my working life. In adding both to an already high-functioning management team, I am genuinely excited about how we move forward from here", Ward said.
