There's no denying that a bit of a bop in the car whilst driving can lighten any journey, but who knew it could make for such a cheery music video too?
Navigating Shibuya traffic in an impressive single-take sequence, Haley Joel Osment's jolly delivery driver in The Avalanches' new music video, I Give Everything I Have 2 U, transforms an otherwise ordinary journey into an infectious bout of behind-the-wheel boogie, before a curious shift into commercial territory hints at something more.
Directed by Jonathan Zawada and The Avalanches' Robbie Chater, and produced by Twin Brains Films, the video was shot in Tokyo and serves not only as a joyful accompaniment to the track, but also as an intriguing tease for the forthcoming No Bad Memories, an ambitious 35-minute companion film set within the band's surreal world of fictional advertising and manufactured nostalgia.
