Framestore announce the appointment of Kevin Young as Creative Technology Director within its Immersive team.
Based in London, Young will spearhead creative technology initiatives that explore new frontiers in real-time content, interactivity, and spatial user experience, spanning immersive installations, next-generation mixed reality, and beyond.
With Young's appointment, Framestore strengthens its commitment to pioneering the future of immersive storytelling. His arrival signals a significant step in blending artistry with innovation across emerging platforms. Drawing on his expertise in real-time content, interactivity, and spatial design, Framestore aims to push creative and technical boundaries, ensuring audiences engage with stories in new and transformative ways.
Young brings over two decades of experience at the intersection of creativity and technology, with a career dedicated to shaping the future of real-time, experiential, and interactive media. Known for blending craft with cutting-edge innovation, Kevin’s work seeks to engage audiences in new and meaningful ways.
Young’s career began in the London music industry, where he designed online experiences for artists and comedy acts including Oasis and The Mighty Boosh. He went on to create innovation led film and television marketing campaigns for studios such as Disney, Fox, Lionsgate, E1, and HBO.
At The Mill’s London studio, Young became the company’s first Head of Creative Technology, leading an award-winning team across a wide slate of high-profile projects. He later joined Wētā FX’s Special Projects team in Wellington, New Zealand, where he worked on ways of pushing interactive storytelling using emerging technologies.
His diverse body of work includes collaborations with HBO, The Guardian, Samsung, Ford, and Hyundai, with projects showcased at global stages such as Sundance, TriBeCa, The White House, The Future of Storytelling, and CES.
