From the first shy glances of adolescence to the present day: more than 60 years of change, dreams fulfilled and evolving ways of life in a country that has never stopped growing and moving forward.
This is the cinematic story at the heart of Enel’s new corporate campaign directed by Igor Borghi. A richly woven portrait celebrating lasting bonds and the invisible force that, for generations, has moved people and powered the nation.
As the protagonists grow up and build their future, the world around them changes in both shape and colour. Everyday objects, neighbourhood shops, fashion and technology evoke the different eras of Italian life with poetic precision. Throughout this long journey through time, Enel remains a constant, dependable presence: the quiet yet essential force of energy that sustains life’s moments, great and small.

The story finds its perfect expression in the tagline, “Enel. Energy, generation after generation”, which captures both the company’s identity and its role in the country. “Generation after generation” speaks not only to a strong heritage, but also to the company’s ability to keep evolving, standing alongside people as they face the energy and social challenges of tomorrow.
Providing the soundtrack to this portrait of the generations is A Whiter Shade of Pale by Procol Harum, the classic released in 1967. With its iconic, evocative melody, the song bridges past and future, accompanying the passing years and underscoring the deep sense of continuity and trust that connects Enel with families and local communities.
