Electric Studios has appointed Matt Shannon as executive producer, strengthening its growing team at its Brick Lane studio.

In his new role, he will help expand the company’s creative capabilities while providing seamless production support to clients.

Shannon joins from Analog, where he spent eight years overseeing motion design and visual effects projects. His previous experience includes roles at immersive technology studio Visualise and Melbourne-based Studio Round. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with directors such as C Prinz, Mau Morgo, and Andrew Thomas Huang, and worked with brands including Apple, Balenciaga, and Netflix.

A career highlight includes Netflix’s transformation from a streaming service to a content studio, alongside a creative technology project with Björk and Gorillaz.

“I’ve had a varied career, ranging from magazines to tech and animation, but the one constant has always been a love for unique problem-solving, whether creative or technical,” says Shannon. “Being an EP in this industry allows me to be part of the creative jigsaw. For Electric Studios, there is no rule book. I’m excited to see how far we can take it.”

Electric Studios managing director Ben Honour adds: “Matt is exactly the right fit for our evolving studio. Over the past year, we have crafted traditional animation, out-of-home installations, deep-screen offerings, and motion graphics. Matt’s experience spans all these disciplines, and I know our clients will enjoy working with him.”
